TVEMA is a world leader in the design, manufacture, and distribution of rail safety systems.
Established in 1989, TVEMA is a rapidly developing international holding with a management company in Moscow, subsidiaries across Russia, and regional offices in China, Ukraine, and Germany.
With 25 years of engineering and production experience behind us, we create exclusive, often unique, rail safety products for the most varied applications. These include railcars and trains for infrastructure diagnostics and maintenance; rail section monitoring systems and fixed rolling stock inspection systems; contact network and radio communications control systems; mobile laboratories mounted on various vehicle types; and hand-held and portable diagnostic tools.
The software for our products is developed in-house. TVEMA employs highly experienced specialists (including six candidates of science) in system engineering, programming, production, advertising, and marketing, thus ensuring that we operate independently at all stages of the product life cycle, from an idea to its implementation and serial production, sales, and after-sales servicing, repair, and upgrade.
TVEMA has collaborated with Russian Railways (RZD) for more than 20 years, and many of our designs are based on RZD decisions to comply with Russian Government directives. In this time, many innovative projects that were conceived by RZD were brought to life at our proprietary facilities, in full compliance with the requirements of international quality management systems, ISO 9001 in general, and the industry-specific IRIS quality management system for railway industry companies.
Our key line of business today is the design, production, and supply of instrumentation, diagnostics systems and suites for rail infrastructure safety. All our designs are versatile and can be used either separately or in combination with one another, for one or several types of testing of different facilities.
Our systems can be mounted on a variety of carriers and vehicles, from detachable devices to highly mobile diagnostic laboratories and trains. The main feature that makes our products so popular is a balanced combination of key factors, such as modularity for integration of different hand-held and portable diagnostic tools, quality-price ratio, and simple design.
Today, dozens of railway companies and underground railway systems around the world operate more than 300 trains and carriages of various designation and more than 3,500 hand-held and portable diagnostic tools, all manufactured by TVEMA.
Our products can be found on the railways of Russia, Germany, the Czech Republic, Poland, Israel, Hungary, Turkey, Mongolia, China, India, Guinea, Libya, Ukraine, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, and Armenia.
Underground railway systems in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Novosibirsk, Nizhny Novgorod, Minsk, Almaty, Baku, and Beijing all benefit from our designs, as do such leading Russian companies as Gazprom Neft, Lukoil, Severstal, North Kuzbass Coal Company, Metalloinvest Holding Company, Baikonur and Plesetsk Cosmodromes, and even the children’s railway in Novosibirsk.
The Company’s products are becoming ever more popular in European and Asian markets. In December 2011, TVEMA became the first Russian company ever to win a German railways’ tender. Three German diagnostic trains have now been equipped with our systems and are in successful operation.
A joint pilot project is progressing well between TVEMA and the Chinese CSR Plant for the production of diagnostic equipment for Chinese railways and underground railway systems. In 2015, TVEMA provided technical audit services on rail diagnostics during operating conditions on sections of railways in Estonia and Latvia.
TVEMA’s products account for almost three quarters of the entire Russian fleet of mobile railway diagnostics tools, 50% of the Kazakh fleet, and 40% of the Ukrainian fleet. We account for 100% of these tools in the fleets of Turkmenistan, Mongolia, and Armenia.
TVEMA’s non-production activities are also noteworthy as an integral part of our corporate policy. One of our production facilities in Moscow is host to a certified centre for training of technical diagnostics specialists, where the representatives of railways and industrial enterprises of Russia, former Soviet states, and other countries gain additional qualification, refresh skills and knowledge, and undergo further training. Since 2015, the Center for Practical Training in Lean Production, the first of its kind in the Russian rail industry, has been operating under the auspices of the institution.
Comprehensive product support services and our proprietary personnel training centre enable TVEMA to ensure not only fast commissioning of even the most complex equipment, but also its ongoing, fault-free operation.
Experience shows that our collaboration with partners in diagnostics leads to a significant improvement in the safety and operation of rail infrastructure.
Having made the decision to cooperate with us, you can be confident that your railway infrastructure facilities will operate more safely and with greater efficiency.
