Improving Efficiency of Inter-Carriage Communications

Industrial computing and networking specialists Amplicon have continued to grow despite the global recession and a subdued economic outlook. As a company supplying multiple key markets, Amplicon has been able to shift their focus to a buoyant Transportation sector benefiting from the plethora of road and rail infrastructure projects that have continued to emerge.
A recent transport technology seminar, hosted by Amplicon in conjunction with Moxa and cellular specialists Arkessa, highlighted the mood in the transport community with all 50 delegate places being snapped up well before the deadline. OEMs and system integrators from the road, rail and marine markets enjoyed a full programme of presentations on new technologies and innovations designed to provide new solutions to old problems.
Further investment from Amplicon comes in the guise of a new website dedicated to Amplicon’s capabilities in the transportation sector. David Evans, product development manager at Amplicon commented on the new venture: “The Transport market can be very fractious with little commonality or standardisation on how to solve specific problems. We have developed a solutions led website to show how system integrators can tackle common tasks and take confidence from knowing about previous successful installations.”
He continues, “We have also taken the time to compile a list of our many products approved for use in the rail sector giving system integrators an extremely valuable guide to EN50155 and EN50121-4 rail approved products from Amplicon.”
A new website, seminars and a hungry sales team means the tools are in place to help Amplicon buck the trend for a second year running.
