New York Air Brake Corporation, a member of the Knorr-Bremse Group based in
Watertown, NY, has acquired Anchor Brake Shoe Company, a leading North American
manufacturer of locomotive and freight car brake shoes.
“Anchor is a good strategic fit for New York Air Brake,” said J Paul Morgan, New York Air Brake’s president. “The addition of brake shoes to our product line will allow us to provide a more comprehensive service to our North American customers while the global network of the Knorr-Bremse Group will help Anchor penetrate new markets.”
