Mipro has signed an agreement with Finnish Transport Agency (FTA) to deliver and operate the management solution of spare parts for rail signalling equipment.
Under the contract, which was finalised and awarded after a bidding process, Mipro will provide Cloud-based software solution and related processes to support all maintenance organisations and signalling equipment providers along the national rail network in Finland.
The Industrial Cloud solution from Mipro has been designed to aggregate high-velocity, high-volume IoT transactions, and analytics, as well as reporting capabilities for ‘Fast IT’ application.
Mipro director services Markus Santanen said: “This contract highlights Mipro’s growing offering in value adding software and service solutions.
“In the long-term our ‘one pattern’ approach gives Mipro’s customers great flexibility to transform static asset monitoring into real-time events and statuses to support new use cases and business needs."

The contract will run for a base performance period of six years and has an option for a two-year extension.

Last month, Mipro signed a €22.3m contract with the FTA for renewal of signalling systems in eastern Finland at Niirala, Kotolahti-Mussalo in Kotka, and Vainikkala marshalling yards from 2016 to 2018.
