German Rail Strikes Called Off10 March 2008 15:35 German train drivers' union GDL has called off today’s planned rail strike after agreeing a wage contract yesterday with state-owned rail company Deutsche Bahn. GDL had called strikes from midnight, in response to a long-running wage dispute with the rail company.
