Faulty Tracks Blamed For Fatal Pakistan Train Derailment

Faulty tracks have been blamed for the derailment of a Pakistani express train which has killed 58 people so far and injured more than 120.

The Karachi Express night train was on its way from the southern city to Lahore when most of its carriages came off the rails and rammed into each other near the town of Mehrabpur, officials told news agency Reuters.

A senior railway official has ruled out sabotage, saying a faulty track was believed to have caused the crash.

Fourteen of the train's eighteen carriages are reported to have come off the rails with four of them completely destroyed.
