Oz Passengers Services Get Boost

27 September 2007 16:04

Passenger services from Sydney's west will be boosted by one-third when Sydney's north-western underground rail link is completed, according to Australia’s rail company RailCorp.

Western Sydney train capacity will increase from 12 trains an hour to 16 when the rail link is ready, RailCorp CEO Vince Graham told Australian publication The Age.

Passenger services on the new line, which is part of a A$2.3bn project, are expected to begin late next year.
