Train Operators Face Rail Delay Payments26 September 2007 14:45 Train companies will have to pay out compensation to customers for delays or cancellations under new rules agreed by European MPs. The cashback deal forces railway companies to refund 25% of the ticket price for delays exceeding one hour and 50% for trains more than two hours behind schedule, says The Press Association. The payouts are only paid out only if the operator can be held responsible for the problems. » Email this link to a friend |
