The Austrian Government is investing €2bn a year to modernise the railway network and stations.
Under the modernisation plan the country will renovate 100 stations by 2014, according to austriantimes.at.
The country is planning to modernise the rail network, which will allow Austrian Federal Railways (ÖBB) to expand the number of trains to 9,000 trains a day, up from current 7,000 trains a day.
