Date
21 Jan 2010

Abstract

The rail industry has long been promoting its green image. With delegates to the conference arriving on a carbon-neutral train, hopes were high for a global agreement. What came out of the UN Climate Change Conference in December 2009 was the Copenhagen Accord.

The accord details the agreement world leaders reached at the conference, which may not be legally binding, but is aimed at pushing environmentally friendly efforts forward.
