As the supplier of several kinds of rail bonding systems to the railways worldwide, SAFETRACK understands client frustration over copper cable thefts, which are constantly increasing. These thefts cost very much to fix, not just replacing the material and workmanship but also in disruption to traffic.

UK data shows that theft of copper worth £1 causes costs a total of £1,700 to replace, including traffic disruptions. Railways in the UK also estimates that the problem will be 4x larger until 2014.

The new cable has 55% electrical conductivity of copper wire of the same size but with the difference that SafeCable has no scrap value for thieves.

SafeCable comes standard uninsulated but will be available in various insulation if needed.

Railbonds with the new type of cable is already available for the PinBrazing system.
