MER MEC and Göteborg Spårvägar in Overhead Line Measuring System Live Showcase at Elmia Nordic Rail 2005

As part of a strategic co-marketing agreement with its Swedish Customer, Göteborg Spårvägar AB - Banteknik, MER MEC SpA is going to showcase the overhead line measuring system supplied to the transportation authority of Göteborg at the upcoming international exhibition "Elmia Nordic Rail", held in Jönköping, Sweden, 4-6 October 2005.
The two companies have organized a private demonstration (attendance by invitation only) that will be hosted by Göteborg Spårvägar, onboard of its measuring vehicle operating in Göteborg city area. A demo tour has been scheduled to take place on 5 October, leaving from Jönköping where the MER MEC stand at Elmia Nordic will be the meeting point for transfer.
MER MEC designed and manufactured the overhead line measuring system for Göteborg Spårvägar AB - Banteknik. The solution allows for efficient monitoring of the power supply infrastructure and accurate measurements of the overhead line geometrical parameters and of the contact wire wear. The measuring system is based on contactless technology, using laser scanners and high-resolution digital cameras for measurement and acquisition.
