K and G Machinery offers the rental and supply of toolcarriers, excavators, hi-rail excavators, railway tampers, ballast regulators, and flashbutt welders.
The company uses multi-gauge embedded rails to carry out maintenance and refurbishment of railway equipment.
Equipment for different rail track sizes
K and G machinery supplies equipment specified for more common standard gauge, or narrow gauge tracks.
These include ballast regulators for repairing and maintaining rail systems, tampers for packing track ballasts under railway tracks, and tracklaying machines for track rehabilitation.
Hi-rail excavators and toolcarriers
K and G Machinery provides Volvo L120 Toolcarriers, which feature crane jibs, pallet forks, and height limiters for electrified track works.
Convertible for broad, standard and narrow gauges, the company's hi-rail excavators are also fitted with height limiters and tilt-rotator heads.
They also feature a range of attachments, including buckets, rail threaders, sleeper inserters, and ballast adjustment equipment.
Flashbutt welders for rail tracks
K and G Machinery now sells and services German-manufactured flashbutt welders, including the KPCK-400 container welder, and the MPCK-400 Hi-rail flashbutt welder.
The KPCK-400 container uses pulsating or continuous burning off, followed by flash trimming, to provide in-field flash welding for railway construction, repair and renovation.
The MPCK-400 is a mobile rail-welding machine for 1,435mm track gauges, featuring 400mm diameter rail wheels, and a maximum speed of 40km/h.
