ImageMap - Rail, Track and Wheel Measurement - Non-Contact High Speed Innovative Measurement Systems

ImageMap® specializes in the design and manufacture of measurement systems for railways with particular reference to rail (Laserail™) and wheel (WheelSpec™) profiles and wear and track geometry systems, operating at speeds up to 350km/h (Laserail 3000™).

ImageMap has a unique philosophy as it develops all its own hardware and software - producing hardware which is specifically designed for railway infrastructure measurement and capable of operating at high speeds in the harsh railway environment.

The company has sold more track geometry systems worldwide in the past five years than any other producer. It is the only producer of optical unattended track geometry measurement systems (UGMS™) for locomotives and service trains and the only producer of wheel profile measurement systems (WheelSpec™) capable of operating in mainline track at speeds of up to 100km/h.

RAIL AND TRACK MEASUREMENT

Laserail 3000 is a hi-speed inertial measurement system for track geometry recording. Measures track every 0.5m in real-time at speeds up to 350km/h - tested and proven on the world's high-speed railways.

Laserail-UGMS is an unattended optical track geometry system which is installed in passenger service trains and locomotives. Data is collected automatically and downloaded wirelessly in terminus or fuelling stations - now operating in Europe. Provides daily monitoring of track safety and maintenance performance.

Laserail-Hyrail is a complete track geometry system, equipping a road rail vehicle and providing complete track geometry measurement to smaller railway networks, transits and metros.

Laserail-Profile / EZ-Grind is a rail profile and wear measurement system for rail replacement and grinding studies - equips track geometry cars and rail grinders.

Laserail EZ-2 is a portable laser powered rail profile measurement system. It is a lightweight instrument capable of fast on/off track measurement of rail wear - integrated computer.

WHEEL AND BOGIE MEASUREMENT

WheelSpec is a wheel profile measurement system installed in track to measure cross-section wheel profiles and wear at speeds up to 100km/h. It measures flange height and thickness, wheel diameter, rim thickness, tread hollow, wheel gauge, angle of attack, etc.

WinPals: rail profile and wear analysis.

WinDBC: digital brush chart for track geometry.

Win Wheel: wheel profile and wear display.

WMS Database: wayside measurement system database for wheel and bogie data.
