Dura Composites supplies high strength, low weight composite materials for construction, industrial, transport, marine and leisure projects. We have a standard range of products - including Dura Slab, Dura Profile and Dura Tread - but can also supply bespoke materials. Dura Slab – fibreglass trench and gully covers Dura Slab is ideal for new and replacement duct covers but is also well suited for refurbishment applications to replace old, heavy and cumbersome traditional flooring materials and covers. Its lower weight, anti-slip surface, ease of installation and absence of maintenance make it a more suitable material for duct covers than steel, timber or concrete systems. It is ideal for gully covers and trench covers, as is proven by its BS EN 124 approval. To reach this approval a 74mm thick, 1,280mm span Dura Slab panel was subjected to a load equivalent to two-thirds of the Class B test load - 83.3kN - and then reduced to zero. Structural flooring systems Dura Slab can be used as a fibreglass structural flooring system manufactured using a unique construction technique that provides an incredible strength-to-weight ratio, or as industrial flooring. Two high-strength fibreglass solid plates bonded to each side of a fibreglass mesh core material produce a stiff, strong, lightweight and non-corrosive composite structural flooring structure with an anti-slip walking surface. Dura Tread – fibreglass anti-slip floor grating Dura Tread is an ideal and cost effective alternative to traditional grating materials like wood, mild steel and stainless steel. It is exceptionally slip resistant and the gritted and concave anti-slip grating offers excellent traction in wet and icy conditions. Dura Tread fibreglass is lightweight and chemical-resistant, making it ideal for the chemical, port and harbour industries. Corrosion-resistant and approximately one-third the weight of steel grating, it is suitable for many applications, including as fibreglass stair tread covers and fibreglass stair treads. Advantages of Dura Tread anti-slip grating Dura Tread chemical-resistant mesh can be used for walkways in corrosive environments. Other advantages include:
Dura Profile - fibreglass pultruded sectionsOur Dura Profile pultruded profiles and composite sections are manufactured by combining various resins with pure fibre reinforcement. Formed and cured in a continuous process, they create an extraordinarily strong and resilient product offering a combination of benefits and mechanical properties exceeding those of metal. The fibreglass pultrusion process provides exceptional strength, toughness and consistency. Fibreglass pultrusions offer a number of advantages over traditional materials such as steel, aluminium and timber, and their use is increasing. Exceptional strength pultrusionsDura Profile pultruded GRP profiles weigh up to 80% less than steel and 30% less than aluminium, but offer equivalent performance. These major weight savings ensure economical transportation, handling and on-site positioning, lowering installation costs. The high strength-to-weight ratio has particular relevance for walkways, sub-floor platforms, bridges, aerospace components, structural applications, cooling towers, wastewater treatment, and oil and gas installations. Applications include:
ScreenClad - screening and cladding panels Manufactured from a high performance composite construction, ScreenClad combines strength, durability and zero maintenance, making it the perfect choice for applications including facades, sun screening, equipment screening and cladding panels. Lightly tinted translucent resins allow maximum light transmission, while producing a modern decorative effect. Further backlighting can provide visual effects on the front surface, offering an impressive enhancement at minimal cost. ScreenClad offers both excellent light transmission qualities, and sunshade protection with the advantage of 70% airflow ventilation. Its construction allows differing amounts of sunlight to pass through the mesh, depending on the sun's angle. ScreenClad applications:

Dura Deck Dura Deck is a low maintenance construction wood plastic composite (WPC) material alternative to wood. A unique composite formula has been developed to provide a rugged and durable material that handles heat and weathering. DuraDeck is used extensively for all types of commercial decking, bridge decking, boardwalks and terracing. Ultra Deck's innovative concealed fixing system makes it ideal public area walkways and the 350mm width provides for rapid installation. It is also able to safely span 600mm.
