Rolling Stock and Infrastructure Testing and Certification

Bombardier has engineers of all disciplines to cover every type of rail testing.

Bombardier has dedicated railway testing facilities located across Europe to perform particular tests.

Bombardier has a comprehensive array of instrumentation to measure and capture real-time data.

Railway vehicle acceptance tests are routinely performed.

The CEF test center operates dedicated test track to perform dynamic tests on rolling stock or infrastructure components in operational conditions.

The test center configuration allows testing on a large range of rolling stock.

CEF continuously adapts its infrastructure to meet customers' requirements.

Contractors working on a rail project
DNV is involved in third-party assessment work on the Copenhagen Metro phase four, having already performed such tasks on phases one, two and three.
Multiple circuit board installation
DNV is competent within risk management standards EN 50126, EN 50128 and EN 50129 as well as ERTMS systems.
Rail station during assembly process
DNV not only assesses trains and infrastructure, but also stations and constructions; it was involved in Flintholm station, which has won architectural awards.
Flow diagram of TRAIL performance assessment
DNV uses TRAIL performance assessment to measure reliability and performance on rail infrastructure and metro projects; our capability in this area is unique and the most comprehensive and accurate available.
Diagram showing quality management systems techniques
DNV is an accredited body for certification of quality management systems ISO 9001 and has railway experts that are also triple-lead auditors; risk management is not a problem.

Based in Holland, the KEMA Rail Transport Certification verifies the safety and reliability of production processes and subsystems in modern European railways.

The KEMA Rail Transport Certification extends to all railway subsystems: energy, infrastructure, rolling stock, control & command and signalling.

The KEMA Rail Transport Certification certifies instruments, processes, products, quality systems and personnel.

KEMA Rail Transport Certification expertise extends to design assessment, rail vehicle certification, rail vehicle acceptance, as well as standards and documentation of vehicles.

KEMA Rail Transport Certification, the All Railway Notified Body, carries out independent safety assessment, hazard identification and railway evaluation.

One site for all tasks: the heart of the test centre; here, customers can find all the facilities they need for performing development, type and unit tests on their rolling stock and infrastructure systems.

Tried-and-tested: an entire rail transportation system.

Vehicle tests can be carried out under realistic operating conditions and extreme operating conditions can also be simulated.

Siemens can test individual transportation systems even before they are put into service.

SINTEF is a Norwegian non-profit foundation. Its Centre for Railway Certification is a notified body that provides railway system certification.

SINTEF provides independent safety assessments of signalling and interlocking systems for railway transport. SINTEF is located in Trondheim Norway, with a branch office in Oslo.

SINTEF has provided railway safety assessment services on the Gardermoen high-speed line to Oslo Airport.

SINTEF is an Independent Safety Assessor. In the railway sector we focus on safety and interoperability in signalling systems, including systems for Automatic Train Protection (ATP), Automatic Train Control (ATC), interlocking systems and telecommunication systems.

We possess a range of authorizations and accreditations.

VUZ's Velim test centre operates a large railway test ring and a small railway test ring.

VUZ operates its own test centre, Velim, with two railway test rings and other infrastructure.

VUZ is authorised to carry out conformity assessment of constituents and verification of sub-systems of rolling stock, infrastructure, energy and control command and signalling.

VUZ is specialized in assessment, testing activities and consulting for railway systems and rail transport.
