At the recent Innotrans 2006 Exhibition in Berlin, CASIO's partner. Systemtechnik from Sömmerda, received the Deutsche Bahn supplier award in the Information Systems category. Systemtechnik was recognised for the comfortable, innovative and reliable solution, based on CASIO's IT-3000 hardware, it has developed for mobile ticketing. Furthermore, Systemtechnik handed over the source code for its solution to the DB AG. The software and hardware combination of both companies enhanced the sales business of train conductors and strengthened the performance of the railway company's sales.
Roland Heinisch, member of the Deutsche Bahn board of directors and responsible for the connection of networks, complimented the performance of all companies: "We need the best suppliers to deliver a good performance on the market. That's mandatory for all aspects of the Deutsche Bahn."
Deutsche Bahn will be awarding the supplier awards at the Innotrans exhibition every two years. They hope the award will come to be recognised as a prestigious recognition of companies performing at a high level in the transportation industry. The honoured companies are allowed to use this title for two years until the next award is given.
CASIO and Systemtechnik have been close partners for several years and complement one another with their core business fields. Public transport customers from all over Europe trust in their products, experience and expertise.
