MOBILE TICKETING WITH THE CASIO IT-3000

The IT-3000 features a high-speed thermal printer, which transfers records to paper at a rate of up to 28 lines per second.

The Microsoft Windows CE Net operating system guarantees simple and cost-effective integration with existing ticketing solutions. The integrated Bluetooth® and IrDA interfaces, the PC card and the SD card slot allow various upgrade possibilities and enable the IT-3000 to be used in WLAN, GPRS or other network environments.

DROP-PROOF AND SPLASH-PROOF TICKETING SOLUTIONS

Casio hardware is synonymous with absolute reliability and durability. The IT-3000 will withstand drops from a height of up to 1.2m to concrete. It is also dust and splash-proof according to IP54 standards, and it can operate in a temperature range of -20°C to 50°C.

The IT-3000 is therefore perfect for ticketing solutions or mobile sales in the railway business.

HIGH-QUALITY SUPERCOLOR DISPLAY

The original Casio LCD technology is well known for its excellent quality. The IT-3000's transflective colour LCD with 240dpi x 320dpi ensures the best possible readability in all light conditions during the mobile data collection.

Excellent power management means low energy consumption, even when using display-intensive applications like digital maps or schedules.

INGENIOUS DESIGN AND SIMPLE USAGE

The IT-3000 facilitates the train conductor's job and increases efficiency and reliability. Weighing approximately 635g, the IT-3000 is outstandingly light and ergonomic. An elastic rubber hand strap on the back of the terminal enables users to hold the mobile terminal comfortably with one hand and guarantees that ticket issuing can be done efficiently.

EXCELLENT CONNECTION AND INTERFACE DIVERSITY

The light-weight IT-3000 terminal has a high-performance 400MHz XScale processor, 64MB RAM and 96MB F-ROM. SD and PC card slots as well as IrDA and Bluetooth® interfaces are standard.

Data, collected and stored on the terminal, can be transferred to an SD card if required. Wireless LAN, GPRS, UMTS or HSDPA for receiving train schedule information is possible with a PCMCIA card via the PC card slot. There are also two serial interfaces to connect external modules like RFID readers, or other options.

MOBILE MAGNETIC CARD READER AND IMAGER

The IT-3000 is outstanding where there is a need for mobile payment and printing. The integrated magnetic card reader handles railway as well as credit card information.

Signatures, entire labels, one- and two-dimensional barcodes as well as images can easily be collected with a 2D image scanner. This allows online ticket booking and ticket inspection on the train.

INTEGRATED THERMAL PRINTER

The integrated high-performance thermal printer is impressive, thanks to the fast speed in which it prints and the quality it delivers. It prints up to 28 lines per second.

The quick and easy change of ticket rolls is an advantage especially in hectic and crowded situations on the train. The IT-3000 can be used with paper of 58mm or 80mm width, as required.
