SYSTEMATICS/RAILSCADA INTEGRATED CONTROL CENTRE SYSTEM

Today, customers expect safe, reliable transportation. Tomorrow they'll demand improved utilisation of assets, better communications and an expansion of interactive services. WRSL "Systematics" means you can meet these needs today and tomorrow.

At the heart of "Systematics", WRSL's renowned RailSCADA system offers complete integration and visibility through one interface; an operator has real-time, flexible control of train movements, traction power, radio and voice communication, CCTV, passenger information systems, environment control, asset management and intranet/internet access.

As rail domain focused system, it is inherently flexible, resulting in a level of safety (SIL/2) and reliability not previously available to the rail industry.

CAPABILITIES

Westinghouse Rail Systems offers a total capability in cost-effective, technically advanced railway signalling solutions. We have the capability to design, manufacture, supply, install, test and maintain the systems that we provide, meeting your exact operational requirements and budget.

The range of services we offer extends throughout the entire project life cycle… from conducting feasibility studies, scheme designs, project management, project supply and delivery to long term maintenance and technical support. Any of these services can be provided independently or as an integrated package.

Westinghouse Rail Systems has project managed many multi-disciplined signalling projects in different areas of the world. Our well developed procedures and formal methodologies enable us to quickly appraise risks and complete a project safely, on time, and to budget. We encourage a close involvement or a partnership approach with our customers and can take on the role of main contractor, sub contractor, or be part of a consortium.

ADVANCES IN RAILWAY SIGNALLING

Research and development is key to maintaining our position as a leading supplier of signalling and train control systems. We have pioneered many advances in signalling technology.

The latest of these advances is Transmission Based Signalling (TBS) which represents a major step forward in rail signalling and train control. The system's flexibility makes it suitable for varying types of railway and enables it to interface with electronic or conventional systems.

We are also contributing to advances in the European Rail Traffic Management System (ERTMS) as a member of the EUROSIG consortium working on the development of the European Train Control System (ETCS).

THE GROUP

Westinghouse Rail Systems is part of Invensys Rail Systems. Other signalling companies that form this dynamic international group include Safetran Systems in the USA, Dimetronic Signals in Spain and Westinghouse Rail Systems Australia.

This synergy provides access to an unrivalled depth and breath of specialist resources for developing new technologies and undertaking major projects, ensuring that the group maximises all opportunities and achieves even greater customer satisfaction.
