STATION MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

To be fully functional, operational stations require many control systems. KeTech's Station Management System (SMS) allows for the full integration of these systems to provide the operator with a single interface.

KeTech's SMS utilises consistent interfaces for each of the systems it controls and by using a standard Windows® interface, allows the operator to seamlessly switch between CCTV, PA, customer information systems, help points and SCADA monitoring.

Interactive station maps identify high-level 3-D images and provide the operator with an overview of every area and system under their control. Navigation to area-specific detailed maps enables the operator to select system-specific icons in order to perform the appropriate control functions (e.g. view, announce, stop, start, move, etc.).

PLATFORM-TO-TRAIN CCTV TRANSMISSION SYSTEM

The ability to monitor the platform, track and vehicle interfaces is critical to providing a safe departure on single-operator trains.

Using state-of-the-art leaky feeder technology, KeTech's platform-to-train multi-channel CCTV transmission system enables pictures from cameras located on the platform to be transmitted to the train cab, providing a real-time view of the critical platform / train interface. The system can be configured to provide continuous coverage until the last carriage is clear of the station.

With a proven history on London Underground's Jubilee and Victoria Lines, this robust, proven technology is licence-exempt and has LUL and HMRI approval.

TRAIN OPERATOR MULTI-FUNCTIONAL DISPLAYS

KeTech's train operator multi-functional displays offer an innovative solution to the provision of critical train-running information

Based on LCD technology, the durable train operator's display from KeTech has been designed to meet the harsh operating environments of both underground / metro systems and over-ground heavy rail. The free-format multi-functional display offers a degree of configurability and flexibility in design.

Interfacing with the train-management system, the train operator's display provides the operator with vital information, including vehicle speed (current and target), position on route and critical status information – all presented in plain, easy-to-interpret language.

CUSTOMER INFORMATION SYSTEM

KeTech's product portfolio includes an innovative solution for the provision of customer information systems, providing flexibility, performance and value for money.

Based on open standards, KeTech's Customer Information System (CIS) meets all the requirements of a modern information system, while retaining the flexibility to seamlessly interface to virtually all legacy display systems.

With no annual licence fee, the CIS provides centralised timetable processing, an automatic mode to provide information without the need for operator intervention, a fully manual mode facility, multiple use of the display screen, and suitability for both manned and unmanned stations.

PUBLIC ADDRESS AND VOICE ALARM SYSTEMS

Over 1,000 railway stations in the UK, the Republic of Ireland and Europe use public address and voice alarm systems designed and manufactured by Ditra Systems (now part of the KeTech Group).

Ditra Systems provide fully automatic, computer-controlled recorded customer information, ranging from single stations with local controllers to centrally controlled network stations. The amplifiers include ambient noise sensing and loudspeaker monitoring for controlled announcements.

For clarity, the digital announcements uses voice segments recorded by professional voiceover specialists, processed to produce correct, seamless announcements.
