Intelligent Point Condition Monitoring in Australia

04 September 2006 14:44

CDSRail is proud to be supplying its intelligent point condition monitoring system to RailCorp in Australia. The system, which is part of the AssetWatch structure, will initially monitor 11 point ends at Glenfield Junction, NSW.

AssetWatch allows maintainers to monitor point condition live, across the Internet or via a PDA.
Instant SMS or email alerts are sent advising of potential problems allowing proactive maintenance to take place before a total failure and train delay. Full information storage, historical analysis and event replay is also a key feature of AssetWatch.

AssetWatch is the only system in the world that allows all asset types to be continuously monitored through one product such as track circuits, level crossings, track condition, rail temperature, SSI, signal anomalies, earth slippage, power monitoring and point condition to list a few.

CDSRail is working with railways worldwide to utilise advanced monitoring technology to meet strategic objectives of reducing train delays and maintenance costs. RailCorp joins a growing list of users such as Network Rail in the UK and MTR, Hong Kong who are using Intelligent Monitoring to maximise performance on their railways.
