BOMBARDIER INTERFLO MAIN LINE SOLUTIONS

Bombardier* INTERFLO* offers main line solutions individually tailored to our customers' needs, encompassing integrated operations control systems and computer-based interlocking systems, as well as automatic train protection and wayside equipment.

Bombardier INTERFLO also provides ERTMS / ETCS (European Rail Traffic Management System / European Train Control System) solutions for ERTMS Level 1 and ERTMS Level 2.

Bombardier Transportation is one of the active members of Europe's railway and signalling industries, UNISIG, and has been a leader in producing the specifications for the ERTMS / ETCS system. For example, the balise transmission technology used in the ERTMS / ETCS system is inherited from Bombardier Transportation.

Bombardier* CITYFLO* provides complete mass transit solutions for all types of mass transit, such as trams, light rail vehicles and metros, to suit various operating modes and customer needs. These include cab signalling, semi-automatic train operation and unattended train operation.

Our INTERFLO and CITYFLO solutions allow customers to clearly define which solution is applicable to their requirements. Furthermore, our solutions can be expanded to meet customers growing requirements and thus meet the operational demands for the entire life of the system.

RAIL CONTROL PRODUCTS FOR MAIN LINE AND MASS TRANSIT

Our product portfolio encompasses a wide range of products which are available as stand-alone products, or as part of Bombardier INTERFLO and CITYFLO solutions. Our products include:

• EBI Screen control rooms - traffic management systems for efficient and economic management of main line and mass transit networks
• EBI Lock - computer-based interlockings, which supervise and control wayside objects such as signals, point machines and level crossings
• EBI Com radio block centre - compiles information from interlockings and trains in its control area and sends movement authorities and other information to individual trains, taking into account a safe distance to the train ahead
• EBI Link ATC (automatic train control) - wayside equipment, providing either fixed or variable data from track to train using balises
• EBI Track train detection - a range of equipment consisting of train location systems, jointless track circuits, coded jointless track circuits and axle counters, providing train detection and track-to-train communication
• EBI Switch point machines - a range of point machines that includes sleeper-integrated point machines, conventional end-of-sleeper machines and machines mounted in a recess between the rails
• EBI Light signals - a range of optical signals including colour light multi aspect signals, fibre optic searchlight signals, fibre optic alpha numeric signals and tunnel signals
• EBI Gate level crossings - barriers and signals
• EBI Cab ATC onboard equipment - supports the driver and continuously supervises the speed of the train; the EBI Cab onboard system warns the driver if the maximum permitted speed is exceeded and activates the brakes in the event of danger; the system guarantees the highest possible level of safety
• EBI Star SatNav - onboard units providing enhanced transport timeliness and improved utilisation of locomotives by reducing standstill and empty runs, offering punctuality, cost-effectiveness and environmental protection
• EBI Tool design and maintenance - generates site data automatically allowing engineering to be achieved quickly and efficiently
