Municipality of Sofia Selects Telindus for the Delivery and Implementation of a Video Surveillance System for the Sofia Metro

Telindus, through its division Telindus Surveillance Solutions, has been chosen to design, implement and support a CCTV system for the Sofia Metro.
The Telindus solution provides the Sofia Metro with a fully integrated video surveillance system, through which real-time images from the platforms can be viewed and recorded across the entire network. The system gives the control centres the highest possible visibility of the metro lines, resulting in effective management of the platforms and appropriate response to incidents.
The contract, for the first phase of the project, will be signed today in Brussels, in the presence of the Belgian Minister of Economy and Foreign Affairs, Mr. Verwilghen and the Mayor of Sofia, Mr. Borissov. This will include the installation of a high-end, fully redundant video surveillance system over a hybrid digital network.
The total project, which runs over a maximum period of two years has a total value of €9.5 million, and includes systems for the city centre, schools and the new airport of Sofia.
