Tracksure ‘Highly Commended’ at the Railway Forum & Modern Railways Annual Innovation Awards

Tracksure's patented nut locking device has been 'Highly Commended' at the prestigious Railway Forum & Modern Railways Innovation Award in the engineering / safety category. The announcement was made at a special ceremony held at the New Connaught Rooms in London on the 1st of July 2008.
Beating off major competition, Tracksure was shortlisted by the jury for the final 21 from over 120 nominations. Chris Green, chair of the judging panel, said: "Tracksure were 'Highly Commended' for this award because the judges were really impressed by the innovative technology behind their device, and could see the significant benefits it can offer operators."
After the presentation ceremony, Tracksure's MD Gerhard Dodl said: "I am absolutely thrilled that Tracksure has been 'Highly Commended' for this prestigious award. Since the launch of our products in the rail industry just over a year ago, we have made tremendous progress. This commendation really underlines just how far we have come in a relatively short space of time."
Tracksure's device, which was also winner of the Rail-Tech® Europe 2007 Innovation Award, has been developed to eliminate nut loosening caused by vibration. The patented technology behind the product is both ingenious and very simple and can be used with many different track and rolling stock applications. The device offers a significant safety and maintenance benefit to operators, the public and those responsible for track and rolling stock maintenance alike.
