It is becoming increasingly difficult to get quality tropical hardwood ties. DWP offers Turada™ railroad ties. Turada™, which is also known as Brazilian Mora, possesses superior qualities and is available in large qualities. Turada™, our trademark name, is exclusively available from DWP.

We provide a wide range of Turada™ railroad ties including crossties, switch ties and bridge ties. Turada™ ties have a Class A fire rating according to ASTM E84, and have been tested under laboratory conditions for strength, hardness and spike insertion. They are also tested for extraction, with emphasis on Formosan and native subterranean termites, resulting in a 100% death rate after four weeks.
