Bouyer - Public Address Systems and Coach-to-Coach Intercom SystemsBouyer prides itself on designing and manufacturing the highest quality on-board public address systems and sound systems for the transport industries. In particular, Bouyer has a great many years of experience in producing PA systems for the rail passenger transport sector. The sound system architecture offered by Bouyer is designed to broadcast both background music and public announcements, though it is equally capable of incorporating other related functions such as visual signalling, or interfacing with other systems such as display panel controls or chronometric equipment. PUBLIC ADDRESS SYSTEMS AND BEEVOX SOFTWAREToday, many railway, metro and underground stations in France and abroad use Bouyer Public Address (PA) systems and its BeeVox digital system. This software solution, which allows the user to manage and maintain their sound systems remotely via the Internet, can be adapted to any type of single or multi-site architecture. In particular, BeeVox has been used for the PA systems of 11 stations along the TER Normandy Grandville-Laigle line in France. The complete sound system for all 11 stations can be managed either locally or remotely over an Ethernet network, allowing the uploading of sound messages and broadcast schedules. MANAGING SOUND SYSTEMS REMOTELY VIA THE INTERNETThe system management centre located in Rouen is responsible for general remote management, obtaining pre-diagnostic data and receives realtime notifications of any faults on the system. BeeVox is also used to manage the 12 stations on Athens’ new rapid passenger transport line and, more recently, the subway stations along Chile’s Metro Valparaíso. COACH-TO-COACH INTERCOM SYSTEMS AND ON-BOARD PUBLIC ADDRESS SYSTEMSOn-board equipment is developed to the technical specifications provided by companies such as Alstom and Bombardier. To respond to these, Bouyer uses its long-standing experience in managing projects to comply with the procedures and standards applicable to the rail industry. In this way, Bouyer has also gathered a wealth of expertise in coach-to-coach intercom systems. Using a train line, the equipment allows communication between the train carriages and engines. The on-board public address systems also allow safety and security messages generated in the station to be broadcast inside the trains via the on-board radio link. This way, if an incident on or involving the train prevents standard on-board announcements to be played, it is still possible to deliver information to the passengers. PUBLIC VISUAL INFORMATION DISPLAY SYSTEMBouyer has recently enhanced its audio offering with the development of a public visual information display system, which passengers using the Caracas Metro subway trains are currently benefiting from. The Venezuelan transport system is fitted with amplifiers, loudspeakers and LED arrays which provide stunning visual quality.
