Scott Wilson Railways Expands to Larger Office

01 December 2004 10:40

Scott Wilson Railways has relocated to larger offices in Tricentre 3, Newbridge Square, Swindon, SN1 1BY.

The relocation follows the rapid expansion of the company with 200 rail professionals based in Swindon and 500 across the breadth and depth of the UK, with offices now also located in Birmingham, Crewe, Glasgow, London and York. This growth is in response to an existing demand from clients and the expanding railway market both in the UK and overseas.

Scott Wilson Railways was initially established in 1995 in Glasgow and Swindon by the acquisition of the British Rail design offices as part of the larger Scott Wilson Consultancy. The company has grown substantially since 1995 into a multi-functional rail consultancy. A full range of consultancy services covering all aspects of rail infrastructure planning, design, project management, construction supervision and rail maintenance is now available to clients.

Current major commissions range from extensive studies for Crossrail routes, West Coast Route Modernisation Trent Valley line detailed design, project management for Edinburgh Airport Rail Line and Athens Metro. In addition, collaborations have been set up in China, Australia, India and Poland.
