MULTI-DISCIPLINARY RAILWAY SOLUTIONS

Citec has over 20 years’ experience within the railway vehicle industry. We offer multi-disciplinary railway and vehicle solutions for our customers all over Europe.

Our services include special consulting, design, engineering, testing, development and project management. We also provide analysis, simulations, 3D and furnishing design technical purchasing services, as well as preparing technical documentation.

SYSTEM, COMPONENT AND HVAC SYSTEM DESIGN

Our design services cover mechanical, electrical, furnishing, system, component and HVAC system design. We specialise in sub-systems and we have mastered our production and manufacturing techniques. Citec has particular experience of working in artic conditions.

Our experience extends to projects involving passenger coaches, commuter trains, light rail vehicles, freight wagons, railroad vehicles and the other special vehicles required for the railway industry. We provide our customers with feasibility studies, test trains and arrangements of track tests, concepts and general design.

RAILWAY VEHICLE DESIGN

Our design work for customers includes modification designs. We have, in the past, designed double-deck sleeping coaches, car carrier wagons and the body of a low-floor middle part for tram trains. We have designed approximately 30 different freight wagon types for our customers.

DOUBLE-DECK SLEEPING COACH

We have designed a double-deck sleeping coach, representing the most modern railway technology, for Finnish conditions. Passengers can comfortably travel long distances, travelling through weather conditions that differ from north to south of the country.

As a part of the concept study and preliminary design phase, the mock-ups of the double-deck sleeping coaches were built in real scale to verify the coach lay-out and all the functions.

Citec Engineering Vehicles is a daughter company of Citec Engineering, which offers multi-disciplinary technical solutions and consulting services to the building, railway and power industries.

We act as a subcontractor for many industrial customers, taking care of the tasks that are not our customer's main activities. Our business idea is to create customer interest by development initiatives and to gain customer trust by outstanding services.
