David Watters has joined AECOM’s transport team as international director of rail and transit.

David has more than 20 years’ experience of rail consultancy and rail operations / general management in both UK and international markets. He joins from Halcrow where he was global head of the rail division.

He will be responsible for expanding AECOM’s rail and transit business in Europe and the Middle East. He will also use his experience of the Asian and Australian markets to deliver further business opportunities globally.

David, who will be based at AECOM’s Hatton Garden office in London, said: “AECOM is a trusted supplier and partner in a number of geographical markets, has a strong technical skills base and some really talented people. I am delighted to have the opportunity to develop the AECOM rail business and to deliver on the potential that resides in this dynamic organisation.”
