The company aims to deliver industry-leading training and consultancy through strategic partnerships and first-class customer service while helping customers improve their business Rail Training International (RTI) was established in 1996. In 2000, CORYS T.E.S.S acquired RTI, enabling it to expand and include operations in Europe and Asia Pacific. TRAINING AND CONSULTANCY SERVICESRTI is a partnership-oriented company that has strategic partnerships within industry and offers customers a full range of industry services:
STATION OPERATORS AND AUTHORISED OFFICER TRAINING COURSESAll RTI courses increase skills and understanding in a range of operations. This course ranges from ticket selling, revenue protection and frauds minimisation to platform customer assistance, and is linked and used to improve company culture systems and achieve business objectives. Station operations and authorised officer training is designed and delivered either as individual modules or a complete training solution. Experienced station and operating staff take learners through role plays, group tasks, classroom-based and on-the-job training. DRIVER TRAININGRTI driver training courses are developed and delivered by experienced licensed drivers who are qualified trainers. Coursed vary in length depending on the driving area and customer requirements. Courses combine classroom sessions and on-the-job training, resulting in a fully integrated, delegate-centred training session. RTI driver training courses are nationally recognised and students who prove competency are licensed to operate in all Australian states and territories. SIMULATION TRAININGRTI, with its partners, can offer a complete range of turnkey railway training solutions from computer-based training and training consultancy to full motion replica train-driving simulators. Simulator training allows drivers to use the skills learnt in the classroom and in a replicated environment without fear of making mistakes. It is a safe and effective way to check driver abilities in the areas of fault finding and driving in all weather conditions to provide practice enhancing driver confidence. In partnership with leading simulation companies, RTI can provide simulator technology that makes it possible to use one type of simulator for a whole range of rolling stock, locomotive and train sets. Other courses include railway infrastructure training, and track training. METHODOLOGIESRTI understand the need to capture a learner’s attention and imagination. To do this RTI’s methodologies include NLP and accelerated learning techniques. RTI assists its customers to create:
RTI LEARNING MODELThe RTI learning model incorporates the use of Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) and accelerated learning techniques, giving its customers and delegates a broader approach to learning. RTI break away from the traditional ‘chalk and talk’ style lecture and method of training by using a more active learner-centered approach in both the development and delivery stage. Within all of RTI’s design and delivery is the use of the quadrant model and spiral dynamics. This allows delegates to understand learning in their own unique way and motivates different personality types. Whether RTI is delivering training or designing training packages, we believe in order for training to be successful, each learning style must be stimulated within all areas of the learning cycle.
