Project Management Professional Learning Ltd (PMPL) is a project management training company offering a range of project management training courses and has, since 1985, been providing specialist support and expertise in the field of project management.

The courses cover the qualifications of the three main project management associations: The Association for Project Management (APM), the Project Management Institute (PMI®) and the Office of Government Commerce (OGC) provided through the APM Group (APMG).

Also available are our own specialist non-certification project management courses (including risk management and programme management) and rail industry specific courses (such as managing rail infrastructure projects).

We provide project management consultancy solutions to organisations and also have our own web-based knowledge assessment tool available to both individuals and larger groups. When applied to client organisations, this is linked to an in-house project management training delivery programme.

We deliver across all industry sectors, and have built up a wealth of experience in the rail industry. We are currently delivering a three-year national project management training programme for Network Rail.

Project management training accredited by The Association for Project Management (APM)

PMPL provide a range of project management training courses accredited by the Association for Project Management (APM). The APM framework, focused towards the APM's Body of Knowledge, is largely recognised within the UK and Europe.

These APM qualification courses include the Introductory Certificate in Project Management, the APMP, the Practitioner Qualification and Risk Certificate Level 1 and Level 2.

Project management training accredited by the Project Management Institute (PMI®)

The PMI® training courses include the Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM®) and the Project Management Professional (PMP®) qualifications. Also available are exam preparation workshops for these two qualifications.

Both courses are accredited by the PMI®, whose framework, focused towards the PMI®'s Body of Knowledge, is recognised globally and is used in the UK, Europe, USA and the Far East, as well as within many other regions/countries.

Project management training accredited by the APM Group (APMG)

A range of PRINCE2® training is available within PMPL's course offering. The qualification courses, accredited by the APM Group (APMG), lead to the 'PRINCE2® Foundation' and 'PRINCE2® Practitioner'. A PRINCE2® overview course is also available for those who just want to gain an understanding of the context and application of the PRINCE2® method and an overview of the PRINCE2® components, techniques and process model.

PRINCE2® is a well-known methodology within the UK and Europe and works well in IT departments or for those organisations requiring a governed project management process.

Managing Successful Programmes (MSP) is a best-practice guide from the OGC describing a structured approach for managing programmes. It has been developed using the collective expertise and practical experience of some of the leading practitioners in the field. This means that it not only reflects best practice, but is also an accessible, workable technique that has been tested by those working in the real world.

P3O is the formalisation of guidance from the Office of Government Commerce (OGC) about how Support Offices can use Programme and Project Management to deliver business change. The P3O model demonstrates how effective support can help organisations deliver their strategy and ensure effective governance by bridging the gap between objectives and projects, programmes and portfolios.

PPS is the qualification aimed at Senior Responsible Owners (SROs) and managers who are, or will become accountable for the successful delivery of policy or strategy through programmes or projects.
