MTR has a wide range of expertise in delivering both operator and controller courses for on-track machines. With the wide spread use of computers and the need to achieve exact track geometry, MTR are able to provide appreciation courses of track geometry and the creation of front off-set files used by the ALC system. MTR can also support with advice on areas where production has fallen short of expectation due to pre work site inspections, track marking and track information. On-track machine TQSs still have an important role to play and MTR provide these courses giving the candidates up to date information on how to obtain the best results and understanding of the machines by trainers with many years experience as operators/drivers. The courses are complimented with periods of track side exercises and practical assessments on the machine during actual working shifts.
