Founded in 1988, Mohan Rail Components (MRC) is today one of the largest integrated groups in India manufacturing railway equipment. The company primarily designs and manufactures railway seating and berths. Other products include doors, windows, HVAC solutions, honeycomb panels, FRP products, water tanks and all other sheet metal components. Each product is an updated technical solution, designed by the company in co-operation with research and development centres.

HIGH QUALITY SEATING AND BERTHING SOLUTIONS

Over the past 20 years, MRC has established its name and tradition in the manufacture and supply of high-quality luxury seats as well as berths for high-speed trains, specialising in first and second-class seating, and seats for the regional passenger transport network.

Close cooperation with our customers helps us to develop practical solutions to their individual seating problems. In addition, compliance with various legal requirements, cost, ease of repair and durability are also taken into account. Different seat components require different material properties. For example, the pressures exerted on seat cushions and backs are totally different to those exerted on armrests and headrests.

RAIL VEHICLE WINDOWS

MRC windows are a combination of argon filled glass, high quality aluminium extrusion and FRP. They are frequently used in the railway and automobile industries.

TRAIN DOORS

Modular design enables any given train to be fitted with compartment doors, inter circulation gangway doors and fire doors based on a common technological core. With the aim of optimising a complete system, MRC takes charge of the design and manufacture of all the bulkheads, thus integrating the door with its associated equipment.

COMPOSITE MATERIAL ITEMS

FRP products: modular toilet unit windows are assembled using FRP materials. These products are safe, lightweight and durable.

Honeycomb panels: this product is used in the manufacture of partition frames for railway coaches. It is lightweight and strong. Its range of applications is increasing day by day.

3D MODELLING, FEM AND FMECA DESIGN TECHNOLOGIES

All units are designed within our engineering centre using the latest design technology including a combination of 3D modelling, Finite Element Analysis (FEM) and Failure Mode Effect Criticality Analysis (FMECA). This is to ensure that our products will withstand the most rigorous operating conditions and fit into areas that were once deemed impossible. This design process also gives us the ability to ensure the units will handle the elements and vibrations and have an extended life expectancy in their operating environment on the vehicle.
