HIGH INTEGRITY EMERGENCY LIGHTING

The Hi-Light range of rugged LED fittings illuminate only when power has been terminated at stage one load shed, stage two load shed or catastrophic loss.

The fittings are self-contained, robust light units that operate independently from existing lighting in rail passenger carriages. Hi-Lights comprise high-intensity white LEDs that supply a defined pool of light in close proximity to doors and windows. They are designed to illuminate for a minimum period of 90 minutes and typically in excess of 180 minutes, offering essential assistance to passengers within the carriage.

Hi-Lights are currently in service on GNER Mk IV Mallard carriages as part of a £30 million rebuild on 302 carriages, and are presently being fitted on the First Great Western Mk III coaching stock.

INTERIOR READING LIGHTS

Marl's LED light units provide a highly efficient, atmospheric and comforting lighting environment within rail passenger carriages.

These rugged yet stylish LED fittings utilise the latest high-flux LED emitters and, coupled with specially designed optics, provide a uniform pool of controlled illumination for reading or general illumination. A choice of warm or cool white light with a typical colour-rendering index of 80 gives a true reproduction of colour from reading material.

LOW LOCATION MARKING SYSTEM

The low location marking system is a fully rail-qualified, rugged electronic egress lighting system that provides a clearly lit pathway in carriages under any conditions.

Lighting elements utilise green LED technology for high reliability and longevity, providing in excess of 180 minutes of emergency lighting after power loss.

Unique from other egress systems, which only function in emergency situations, Marl's low location marking system has been designed for extremely high reliability and very low power consumption, which allows the system to be permanently lit. This feature makes the passenger aware of the system during the journey, allowing them to recognise it instantly in a dark or smoky environment.

Strip lighting can be fitted to a wide range of floor configurations and materials. It is vibration resistant, and has a substantial load-bearing capacity.

The system consists of a sophisticated power control supply, floor strips, pin-point bulkhead lights and exit signs, allowing LED lighting to guide the passenger from anywhere on board to an exit.
