Train inter-carriage connectors

Meeting all major railway specifications, LPA connector systems are designed to be as flexible as possible to ensure they meet the changing requirements of train builders. An ability to accommodate both composite and single-core cables as well as a full range of power and data contacts ensures that whatever your requirements there is a product to suit.

Casework material for these train and rail connectors is aluminium alloy or nickel-plated copper alloy that meets international and local specifications, including BS1490. The casework finish is etch-primed and low smoke and toxicity polyester powder-coated in accordance with international, local and customer specifications, including BS 6853 and NFF 16-101.

The insert material is a low smoke and toxicity polyester moulding compound in accordance with BS6853 and NFF16-101. Contacts are of brass or copper, either plated or in a natural finish to suit the application.

Lug and compression rail connectors

We provide tubular lug and compression connectors for rail applications, available in copper, nickel or stainless steel. DIN standard types are available in aluminium, tin, copper or Al/Cu blend.

Heat, acid and rust-resistant lug and compression rail connectors

We provide industrial plugs and sockets for applications including rail tunnels, trains and depots. These 50V, 250V and 500V IP66 metal-clad plugs, sockets and appliance inlets have current ratings up to 250A.
