PILON+, a further development of PILON, is the result of SA ViewCom’s efforts to meet the ongoing rising demand for increased standardization and cost efficient solutions.
The development of PILON+ must be seen in the light of the company’s efforts to meet individual customer requirements – without boosting budgets due to a large number of customized adjustments.
As the PILON concept, PILON+ is also based on the LonWorks network technology and a standard module concept.

Same system for both new build and refurbishment projects:
PILON+ has been designed to offer the same benefits whether it is for new build or refurbishment of trains. For example, the physical measures of the vital PILON+ CarInterface and other core modules have been designed to fit anywhere in trains that are going to be refurbished.
A PowerLine LON technology provides the opportunity to make use of existing cables in refurbishment projects. The LON signals from the system components can be transferred between each train set, by means of the existing power cabling, due to the PILON+ PowerLine router. Thereby installation of new cabling between trains sets is avoided. This has been proven in practice in the class 455 UK refurbishment project.
PILON+ easily integrates with other on-board subsystems such as CCTV and passenger count systems.
Being a system integrator and supplier of both passenger information system and a.o. CCTV solutions, our customers are given the opportunity to benefit from this "one-stop-shopping" offer and minimize the number of sub suppliers and reduce risk when integrating more sub systems.
PILON+ complies with the English standards RVAR (Rail Vehicle Accessibility Regulations) and RIA (Rail Industry Association).
