Nomad Digital has partnered with Bombardier Transportation to deliver innovative passenger and fleet-based solutions to both existing and new Bombardier customers across the North American marketplace.

As the leading global provider of on-board internet protocol (IP) connectivity and passenger Wi-Fi services, for new-build and rolling stock globally, this agreement will provide Bombardier with access to Nomad’s comprehensive product and service portfolio, including expertise in the design, development, implementation and management of on-board systems and services.

The services include passenger information systems (PIS), infotainment, on-board media and real-time content management and delivery systems, as well as Nomad’s ground-breaking tele-maintenance portfolio, including condition-based-monitoring and energy efficiency solutions.

Building on Nomad’s strong relationship with leading train manufacturers across the world, this partnership agreement comes at a time when the industry is experiencing increasing demands from transport operating companies and passenger alike, to provide enhanced passenger and fleet-based services that will both improve the journey experience, while optimising operational performance and reducing the costs associated with both running and maintaining rolling stock.

Speaking of the new agreement, at a time of growth and increased investment for Nomad in North America, Group CEO, Andrew Taylor commented: "Nomad is fully committed to aligning its capabilities with industry leading partners in the Transportation sector, and we are very excited about further developing our already strong relationship with Bombardier, and working in partnership to both offer and deliver innovative technology solutions, which will meet the current and future needs of Rail Operating Companies across the world."

Nomad’s general manager for North Americas, Damian Bryant, added: "As Nomad continues to invest in developing and growing its North American sales and delivery capabilities, the relationship with Bombardier has strategic relevance, as we look to build appropriate partnerships that will both excite and meet the needs of our customers across the US and Canada."
