Inova Multimedia - Passenger Information, Wi-Fi Communications, Maintenance Condition Monitoring, Digital Video Surveillance and Passenger Counting Systems

Launched in 1997 and now with over 2,000 installations world-wide, Inova Multimedia are the leaders in on-board digital information technology, including real-time passenger information systems, passenger infotainment, Wi-Fi communications, maintenance condition monitoring, digital video surveillance and passenger counting systems.

Using rugged EN50155-approved 3U CompactPCI technology, the modular open architecture approach allows these systems to be incorporated into existing vehicles as part of vehicle midlife renovation. They can also be integrated into new build vehicles, either as standalone or incorporated into Ethernet-based train management systems.

Our design and technology centre, based in Germany, ensures that the highest level of engineering expertise is applied to system integration and provides full project management support for design, installation commissioning and maintenance of the system.

PASSENGER INFORMATION AND ENTERTAINMENT

Our passenger information and entertainment systems offer a number of flat screen TFT displays enclosed in rugged vandal-resistant enclosures. The studio content management system can deliver video, jpeg, mpeg, Flash or HTML material to the screens via a dedicated on-board server using wireless transmission technology. Real-time operational messages can be displayed as ticker text on screen.

MAINTENANCE CONDITION MONITORING

Using our rugged railway approved 3U CompactPCI computing platform, we have references in maintenance condition monitoring and performance data acquisition.

Working with specialist partners in data management, our systems acquire on-board operational data and deliver wirelessly to depot maintenance teams for preventative maintenance solutions.

DIGITAL VIDEO SURVEILLANCE AND PASSENGER COUNTING SYSTEMS

Our digital video surveillance systems use addressable IP cameras and can provide the very latest security solutions for security surveillance, forward facing cameras or driverless operation. Using wireless communication, images can be transferred to a control room for real-time viewing or triggered from a passenger communication alarm in the event of an incident.

STUDIO AND CONTENT MANAGEMENT

Inova Multimedia are unique in providing a full content management service, including provision of news, business news, weather and entertainment services, to complete the multimedia service we offer. In addition, advertising opportunities can provide a useful additional revenue earning opportunity for operators and improve the opportunity for returns on investments for these systems.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT

Each project will require specific requirements based upon common design architecture. Our dedicated project manager will be responsible for delivery of the design, installation, commissioning and maintenance of the system.

Supported by our design and technology centre, based in Germany, we will ensure the highest level of engineering expertise is applied to system integration with the operator’s requirements.
