Ikusi IP-T Monitor Allows Entertainment, Information and Internet On-Board

26 November 2008

Now it’s possible to travel by train comfortably and at the same time, access internet, digital television programmes and watch a DVD. All of this is available thanks to the IP-T monitor, specifically developed by Ikusi for installation on-board trains. When connected to a train Ethernet, the device can receive digital quality data and video, decode them and subsequently present them on a TFT screen.

This monitor has the added advantage of being integrated in an Ikusi video information and IP entertainment system, which can also be supplied separately. The monitor is connected to video, voice and data existing on land via integration with the Ikusi broadband train-land communications system. Furthermore, the IP-T allows the user to simultaneously access different contents presented on the TFT screen.

These new solution reinforce the position of Ikusi as a global and integrating provider of systems applied to railways, both in platform and on-board facilities.
