Ikusi and Efacec Interface Systems and Communications for Metro Tenerife

Ikusi, together with Efacec, has seen to it that such different technologies as access controls, public information services, PA systems and telephony, road and rail signalling, video surveillance, the transmission network, the Operations Support System (OSS), ticket vending machines and turnstiles and the time-keeping system operate as an integrated unit on the Tenerife Metro system.
This means that the company managing the tramway, MTSA, can focus on other aspects related to the commissioning of a project of this magnitude, such as the coordination of urban development and civil engineering work or the future commercial running of the service.
Ikusi and Efacec have also taken charge of coordinating the complex interfaces with all the other contracting companies in such areas as rolling stock, electrification or civil engineering; a task that has been made possible thanks to the capacity of the companies involved and to proper coordination.
