The Japanese company Mitsui has entrusted Ikusi with fitting the equipment in the 10 new electrical units of four carriages which have been placed in operation in the last few weeks on the Dart line in Ireland. These units, of the Irish operator Iarnród Éireann, will mainly cover the route between Howth, Dublin and Greystones.
Ikusi is in charge of supplying the information and communications systems which include public information systems via LED panels and automatic public address systems based on the train's position, as well as the train’s internal communications systems for the emergency interphone system with passengers and the train staff’s communication between cabs.
This system is also compatible with all other units in other Iarnród Éireann series, which makes it possible to create fully operative compositions of trains from different series.
With this new contract, Ikusi has strengthened its position in the Irish railway market.
