From 30 May to 1 June, ContiTech is exhibiting at the Rail + Metro fair in Shanghai, China. The systems manufacturer of suspension systems for rail vehicles will be exhibiting at booth MA049 in hall N1. Primarily state-of-the-art suspension systems for primary and secondary suspension, as well as MEGI brand hydro springs, conical springs and buffers will be on exhibit there.

ContiTech is amongst the frontrunners in the booming Chinese economy. With its railway engineering unit, the company has already been doing business in China for 30 years, equipping rail vehicles with primary and secondary suspension systems. ContiTech air spring systems have been deployed in the high-tech Velaro China, CRH3-380 and Zefiro CRH1-380 trains, as well as the Maglev (Transrapid) and Chinastar.

Its equipment is found in trains on Shanghais eleven metro lines, for example, but also in the metro systems in Hong Kong, Nan-Jing, Guangzhou, Hangzhou and Shenzhen. The hub of ContiTechs operations in China is its modern plant in Changshu. From this hub, ContiTech supplies its entire Chinese market.

The business unit thus has at its disposal the world’s only test lab for rail vehicle air spring systems that has been officially certified as independent.
