PESA Bydgoszcz is a Polish company involved in manufacturing, modernisation and repair of railway rolling stock, including rail-buses, multiple-units and trams.

We are a modern and innovative company with over 150 years of experience in the railway rolling stock market. Over this time we have created a strong technological base to meet market demands.

DIESEL DRIVE RAIL-BUSES

PESA produces rail-buses with diesel drive, in both single and multi-carriage vehicles depending on operational needs, for routes with an existing traction network.

DIESEL MULTIPLE-UNITS AND ELECTRIC MULTIPLE-UNITS

Thanks to the application of the latest technologies and technological solutions we have now managed to also produce, as our latest products, diesel multiple-units and electric multiple-units.

The application of modular installation systems provides each customer with the possibility for a free arrangement of the diesel and electric multiple-units' interiors. The size of the multiple-unit (the number of carriages) and its technical parameters can be customised in accordance with customer's needs.

LOW-FLOOR MODULAR TRAM

Our offer also includes a multi-carriage, low-floor modular tram, which, depending on customers' needs, can be offered in a five-car or three-car version. Our offer also includes trams designed for cargo transport.

LOOSE-MATERIAL FREIGHT WAGONS

We also produce freight wagons for the transport of loose materials (both resistant and sensitive to weather), aggregate and long-load materials.

PASSENGER CARRIAGE AND LOCOMOTIVE REPAIR

Besides construction of the state-of-the-art products, we offer modernisation and repair of passenger carriages, sleeping cars, restaurant cars and locomotives.

SELF-PROPELLED ELECTRIC VEHICLES

The self-propelled electric vehicles produced by PESA are equipped with asynchronous motors which, thanks to recuperation, return part of the energy expended during braking to the network, thus reducing operational costs.

UNIQUE ROLLING STOCK SAFETY

The vehicles produced by PESA in Bydgoszcz are characterised by modern style, shape and colours. Innovative technologies are applied in the production of these vehicles. The railcar body structure guarantees a high level of passive safety for passengers and staff, and meets the latest European requirements.

During the design of its vehicles, PESA co-operates with many institutions and universities to create unique technological solutions, for example energy absorbers, which in the case of a collision when driving at 15km/h prevent damage of the carriage's body structure, and at up to 30km/h prevent deformation of passenger areas.

DIESEL VEHICLE POWER-TRANSMISSION SYSTEMS

In the vehicle designing process, the natural environment has not been forgotten, as is attested to by, amongst other things, the application of power-transmission systems in diesel vehicles, with engines meeting Euro3a standards.

TWO SUSPENSION LEVELS

Modern vehicles with two levels of suspension, in which the second level consists of air cushions, significantly improve the driving comfort in relation to other solutions proposed on the market.
