Motive Traction Pty Ltd is a privately owned mining and rail equipment manufacturer and supplier. The rail division caters for mobile rail car movers or shunters and is the Australian licensee for the Trackmobile railcar movers.

With the company's head office and manufacturing facility, located in Australia's famous mining and wine growing region, the Hunter Valley, Motive Traction Pty Ltd is ideally situated to service both the local Australian mining and rail industries, and as a base for our ever expanding export business.

We also have a regional centre located in Perth Western Australia to service the large mining industry in that state of Australia.

TRACKMOBILE RAILCAR MOVERS

All Trackmobiles have bimodal capabilities. This means, they have a wheel transport system whereby steel wheels are used when the Trackmobile is in the rail-working mode and rubber tyre wheels that are used to facilitate the movement of the Trackmobile over-the-road.

The road-to-rail and rail-to-road conversion is easily accomplished by utilising the Trackmobile's uncomplicated control system.

Total switching time can be greatly reduced when using a bimodal Trackmobile because it can be taken off the rail, placed in the rubber-tyre mode, and driven from one working area to another without the laborious task of moving through a maze of switches and long stretches of lead track.

USED TRACKMOBILE RAILCAR MOVERS

We currently have two used 9TM Trackmobiles in stock. These are offered as-is or fully rebuilt to manufacturers specifications in our extensive rebuild workshop.

We have five second-hand 5500TM Trackmobile railcar movers available to us for immediate delivery. The 5500TM Trackmobile provides the highest tractive effort in the Trackmobile range of railcar movers.

These machines are in excellent condition and have very low hours on the clock. They have been regularly maintained and are in perfect running order and condition. No additional maintenance or repairs are required prior to putting these machines into service.

MOTIVE TRACTION - CHINA OPERATIONS

We also have a manufacturing facility located in China. Motive Traction - China Operations is primarily involved in quality castings, fabrication and machining of mining and railway equipment, we operate from new premises close to Beijing, capital of China.
