Strukton Railinfra Acquires Property Of German Railway Company

20 April 2007 11:01

Strukton Railinfra has acquired the property of the German railway company, Georg Reisse GmbH & Co KG. Strukton Railinfra already has companies in the Netherlands, Belgium, Italy, Sweden, Denmark and Norway. Reisse enables Strukton Railinfra to act on the German market. The expansion is a further stepping stone into Europe and offers further opportunities for exchanging people and machines.

Reisse is also satisfied with the take-over. The German family business, with its headquarters in the city of Kassel, was looking for a new owner who knows the European market. Reisse and Strukton Railinfra fit well together. Both companies have been investing in their people, technology and equipment for many years and wish to continue that policy.

Reisse's more than 170 staff members are highly welcome at Strukton Railinfra. Their railway company will continue to operate under the name of Reisse, but as part of a European company with opportunities not only in Germany but also in other countries.

Reisse is active in the fields of track building, ground work, cable work and paving work involved in tramways. Georg Reisse founded his railway company in 1913. The company expanded its activities and field of activity during its existence and invested in machines and technology. The company remained in the Reisse family for three generations.
