Strukton Rail is a full-service provider of rail systems in Europe. Everything Strukton Rail does is connected with the design, development, construction, renewal and maintenance of infrastructure and electrical systems in rolling stock. The aim is attractive railways. Strukton Rail is rail - nothing more, nothing less - and has been for more than 75 years.

Our principle is that up-to-date knowledge enables preventive action. The point is to keep one step ahead of breakdowns to maximise rail system availability. We find a potential problem before it leads to disruption.

Rail system identification and information collection

We provide insight into the work and thus create a basis for trust and comfort. Our philosophy is perfect operation through prevention. We have, for our own operations, developed unique systems to identify and collect information on rail systems. We analyse and combine all information into objective quality measurements, based on which we inform rail operators about the status of their systems.

We also make the data capturing and measurement systems available to our customers. They can use them to, for example, reveal which performance indicators they should use to evaluate the market players.

Rolling stock traction systems, electrical devices and monitoring systems

By listening to operators' problems and wishes and investing in innovation, we have grown into a specialist in smart train technology, offering tailor-made solutions for new and existing trains. Our products include traction systems, electrical devices and monitoring systems. Our traction electronics make a substantial contribution to energy savings by providing engines with exactly the right amount of power they need and no more.

When the train brakes, the power is fed back into the electricity grid. By integrating measuring systems into trains we build systems that continuously monitor the status of the equipment, not only identifying faults but also diagnosing them. This makes maintenance far more efficient and less expensive.

Rail consulting and engineering

Railway managers and operators often seek a partner with the technical know-how to help them integrate advanced technology into their own organisational structures. We assist them by converting technical expertise into maintenance concepts, management systems and management organisations that can be implemented in their own organisational structures.

International operations

We have long-term operations in Norway, Sweden, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium and Italy, and work on projects and products in other European countries. We learn from best practices in these different countries. With a view to further internationalisation, we are investing in the quality of our personnel and a substantial, ultramodern fleet of equipment for deployment in all the countries involved.

Machines and logistics

We invest in our substantial, state-of-the-art equipment fleet that is used in several countries in Europe. Many of our machines are authorised to work in several countries. We are designing one European logistic process. Once this process is authorised by national security authorities our people and equipment can be moved efficiently from one European location to another.
