Rexquote has been leading the way in the roadrailing of tracked machines for some time and this month sees the launch of the new Case CX135 Crawlerailer. This is the first machine of its type to undergo a road rail conversion.
"This is an exciting project for us because it could soon revolutionise track renewal and rail maintenance working. Tracked machines have long been a preferred choice in the construction industry because of their lower ground pressure (resulting in less disturbance of soil or ballast) but have recently lost favour in the rail maintenance industry because of difficulties in getting them to the site. This project could soon make these versatile machines available to planning teams for all areas of rail maintenance works avoiding the need for costly works trains," said Dawn Hooper, Managing Director.
The reaction to this project has been so good that Rexquote now have more than 20 ongoing orders for these machines.
"We are pleased by the all round ability of this machine. I think everyone who has worked on this project can be proud of what we have created," said Roger Soper, Engineering Director.
