Rexquote - Road Rail Machines for Railway Infrastructure Maintenance

Rexquote is the leading manufacturer of roadrail excavators. In addition to the Megarailer, Superailer and recently launched Gigarailer, Rexquote also manufactures roadrail dumpers, rail dozers, roadrail tracked machines, rail trailers and attachments. Rexquote also has a range of roadrail access equipment.

A full in-house design process is also offered for one-off and special products. Rexquote products are of superior quality and can be tailored to each customer’s individual requirements.

SUPERAILER ROADRAIL EXCAVATOR

Based upon machines such as the Terex 1604 and the Volvo EX160, these machines benefit from the addition of a high-density counterweight, reduction of tailswing and the addition of chassis weights to give the best possible lifting performance combined with the lowest possible centre of gravity. The Terex machine has a tailswing of just 1,750mm.

MEGARAILER AND MEGARAILER 10: SUPERIOR LIFTING CAPABILITIES

Based on the Terex 1604 and Komatsu PW160, the Megarailer is 15% heavier than the Superailer, constructed with a lower centre of gravity and larger rail wheels it benefits from superior lifting capabilities and stability. The Megarailer also has greater safety features such as Rexwatch, a sophisticated rated capacity indicator especially evolved for this machine.

Megarailer 10 is based on the standard Megarailer, the boom configuration is replaced with a monoblock boom and crane arm resulting in further increased lifting capabilities.

GIGARAILER LIFTING AND DIGGING MACHINE

Gigarailer is built on a specially designed Terex machine with extra heavy-duty road axles, lower chassis and lightweight upper and in-house manufactured front end equipment. Available with a one or two man cab, the Gigarailer is a superior lifting and digging machine.

Gigarailer weighs a formidable 28t and is Rexquote’s most powerful machine yet.

RAIL DOZERS

Based on Caterpillar and Komatsu dozers, the hydraulically driven rear rail bogie and removable blade bogie allows easy access of these machines to work sites.

CRAWLERAILERS

Rexquote have roadrailed a number of short tailswing tracked machines including the Case CX135 and the Komatsu PC138.

Rexquote Crawlerailers use hydraulically driven rail bogies to travel by rail to worksites, the retraction of these bogies facilitates normal working. These machines are recent favourites on rail maintenance and renewal sites because of their compactness and their lower ground pressure resulting in less disturbance of the ballast.

ROADRAIL DUMPERS

These machines are based upon Terex or Thwaites dumpers of varying weights and skip types. Dumper modifications have included swivel-skip, three-way tipping bodies and the addition of cranes and canopies.

ACCESS EQUIPMENT

Rexquote have a fully comprehensive range of access equipment.

The Mecalac Access offers the versatility of the standard Mecalac roadrailer but has a man basket fitted providing access to elevated structures for the purposes of repair and maintenance.

The Accessrailer 17 is a dedicated piece of access equipment with a Niftylift access platform mounted on a Terex dumper chassis.

TRAILERS

Rexquote have a well established range of rail trailers varying in length, bed height and weight. Available with or without sides and a wealth of other innovative design ideas, projects to date include cable carrying trailers, personnel transporters, ballast boxes and fitting of twistlocks for ISO containers.

The Rexquote personnel transporter is the safe and efficient solution to the problem of getting personnel to a work site. Capable of carrying six men with tools it can be used with any rail trailer.

ANCILLARY EQUIPMENT AND ATTACHMENTS FOR THE RAIL INDUSTRY

Rexquote manufactures various attachments for the rail industry including rail thimbles, rail-lifting beams and ballast regulating brooms.

PRODUCT SUPPORT

Rexquote has a purpose built product support building which houses the spare parts and servicing departments, these offer dedicated customer support on all Rexquote products.

Fitter and operator familiarisation packages are offered which each machine, as are servicing and warranty packages.
