Infrastructure Engineering and Maintenance

AJE only employ highly skilled and trained personnel within their relevant field so as to ensure that all workmanship is of the highest standard.

With flexible working times and a more personal attitude towards customer needs, AJE can offer a short mobilisation period, 24 hour call-out service and professional and quality electrical or civil engineering.

AJE have recently completed installation of the electrical equipment used for the London Underground smart card systems.

By being specialists in railway infrastructure, AJE can provide a comprehensive service on projects - ranging from delivery, civil engineering, installation, terminating and the commissioning of a new system upon completion.

Aperio has unrivalled railway experience and a team of qualified personnel. The company investigates railway assets including track, earthworks and structures using non destructive methods to provide a representative picture of condition and construction.

Trackbed surveys measure ballast thickness and map hidden problems ahead of renewals.

Infrared thermography has been used in tunnels to detect defects such as near surface delamination and has been effective in some cases in detecting blind access shafts.

A resistivity profile showing a 'lost' structure below the railway. Aperio surveys map unrecorded structures, cavities and ground formations in the railway environment.

Flexible reporting options for geophysical surveys include linking results to geographical information systems to enable comparison with other rail asset and condition records. This image shows trackbed thickness.

The UFM 120 multi-purpose track recording train on the Dutch high-speed track.

All measurement systems are controlled by a small crew in the central recording area of the train - all gathered information is accurately aligned and located.

High resolution pictures from various viewpoints monitor the rails in switches and crossings to replace patrolling in a safe and objective way.

The UST 02, combines ultrasonic inspection with eddy current measurements and high resolution video survey.

Manual ultrasonic inspection, eddy current measurements, track geometry measurements and switch inspection complement the range of our products.

Four Ground-Penetrating Radar (GPR) antennae are mounted on a EM-SAT measuring train.

Ground-Penetrating Radar (GPR) antennae mounted on a EM-SAT train.

Measurements are controlled by one of our specialists on board of the train.

Railway cart for inspection of short sections (up to 20km), e.g. in railway stations.

L&T constructed Asia's largest underground metro station at Rajiv Chowk, New Delhi.

A TBM tunnel built by L&T for the Delhi Metro.

Track-doubling work carried out by L&T in Mumbai.

The L&T-built Jhajjar Khad Bridge is Asia's tallest steel railway bridge.

We have completed overhead electrification works for over 6,000km of the Indian railway system.

ClearRoute™ software calculates 'true' clearances between trains and the infrastructure.

XiTRACK is a process for treating track ballast to maintain or restore its performance by the application of designed polymers.

LaserPeT™ is a portable, trolley based system, primarily for use in the underground.

LaserSweep is a portable measurement system used to measure railway structures in order to determine clearances to trains.

Laser Rail has extensive experience of developing and maintaining infrastructure data in various databases for a variety of clients

The Pandrol Clip Driver can both fasten and unfasten Fastclips, and also be combined with accessories for lifting low-laying track sleepers.

The SleeperLayer, designed to be used on heavy excavators and loaders, is used for placement of concrete sleepers, and is fully rotatable and tiltable.

The Multi Function Machine (MFM) equipped with lift for overhead work. Together with track adaptation and other railway-specific details, the machine can be used for a wide range of railway work.

The Fast Clip Installer can be combined with the SleeperReplacer for greatest efficiency. It works with hydraulic power supply from any external source, and has adjusting advice for different rails.

The Handy Clipper is manufactured as a versatile hand-held tool for smaller clipping and declipping services for Fast Clip. It has its own power supply and is ergonomically designed.

Eurailscout’s UFM 120 inspection train runs over European tracks to measure data on rail geometry, rail and contact wire with great accuracy during measurement journeys.

One of Strukton’s advanced machines renewing track in Germany.

Strukton Rail provides for traction, engineering and production of panels and cabling in trains and for maintenance of rolling stock.

Strukton Rail Strukton Railinfra supplies services in the field of high-voltage switching stations, sub-stations or complete electrical installations for power generation.

Data measured by measurement trains, video inspection trains, inspection cameras, POSS monitoring, etc. come together in Strukton’s control room where they are translated into objective quality measurements.

Zetica has developed the innovative train-mounted Zetica Advanced Rail Radar system.

ZARR allows trackbed information to be acquired alongside track geometry and asset mapping data at speeds greater than 160km/hr.

ZARR can monitor trackbed deterioration over time.

Zetica provides its Trackside service offering detailed site investigation of the rail trackbed and its surroundings.

Zetica utilises GPR on road-rail (up to 30kph) or trolley platforms with targeted sampling.
