Aperio Joins Fugro Group

We are pleased to announce that Aperio Limited has joined the Fugro group of companies.
After a decade of leading the way in engineering geophysics and non-destructive investigation, the directors of Aperio have been seeking a strategic partner to help take the company forward. We are delighted to have reached agreement with Fugro and feel that this will be good for our clients, partners and staff. The company name will change to Fugro Aperio and we look forward to offering a complete investigation service supported by a much bigger team, and to committing more resources to improved customer service and innovation.
Fugro Engineering Services Limited provides a complete geotechnical and geo-environmental site investigation service. Operating in the UK and overseas, on land and nearshore sites, their in-house services include a complete drilling capability, surface and down hole geophysics, in situ and laboratory testing, and geotechnical and geo-environmental engineering consultancy.
The move significantly enhances the company's ability to investigate rail infrastructure because it combines the leading specialist in geophysical surveying with one of the biggest players in geotechnical investigation.
Fugro Aperio will work with Fugro Engineering Services in the UK to deliver an unrivalled structural and geotechnical capability. On a wider scale, the move means we can deliver our services to clients throughout the world via a truly global organisation with more than 9,000 people in 50 plus countries.
The move also sees Sam Dods take on the role of managing director from Jon Baston-Pitt, who will now concentrate on international business development.
Whilst the move brings exciting changes, many things will also stay the same: the same team of experts will still operate from the same address and will still focus on delivering information to help our clients work smarter and safer.
